Promotion Of Khamzat Chimaev To BJJ Brown Belt After UFC 294 Victory
Khamzat Chimaev is a pro-MMA fighter in the welterweight division of UFC. He has recently shared his UFC 294 success and his promotion to BJJ brown belt. He defeated Kamaru Usman with his unbeatable BJJ skills in the octagon.
Usman Replaced Paulo Costa Due To His Injury
The match between the Khamzat and the Usman was scheduled later. They were not planning to face each other. In fact, Khamzat was to fight against the middleweight fighter Paulo Costa. However, Costa could not compete due to the injury and ultimately withdrew from the match. Kamaru Usman then replaced him and faced off Khamzat at UFC 294.
Khamzat’s Victory At UFC 294
Throughout the match, Khamzat demonstrated his outstanding grappling abilities, taking down Usman multiple times. Khamzat dominated from the top position, earning him the victory in the first round of the match. Usman put his maximum efforts to fight back, Khamzat was able to get the title based on unanimous decision. He also secured a pair of 29-28 scores in the match. As a result, Khamzat was awarded his BJJ brown belt. Alan ‘Finfou’ Nascimento, Khamzat’s primary coach, expressed his thoughts on Khamzat’s outstanding performance against several seasoned Jiu Jitsu black belts. Alan also commended him, stating that Khamzat deserved more recognition and fame. Now Khamzat has gained the position against the UFC legend fighting the middleweight fighter, Sean Stricklan.
