Brittney Palmer – UFC Octagon Girl Announces Retirement After 16 Years Completion

Brittney Palmer - UFC Octagon Girl Announces Retirement

As a well-known octagon girl in the UFC, Brittney Palmer has made the decision to put her shorts away figuratively. She revealed her retirement at the 2023 World MMA Awards, where she received recognition as the “best octagon girl.”

Palmer’s last bout in the UFC octagon will occur at UFC 296 in Las Vegas. It will be held at the T-Mobile Arena. Looking back on her experience, Palmer conveyed her gratitude:

I truly am honored to accept this award. Thank you to the UFC, Fighter’s Only, and all the fans who voted for me.

Well, there’s no better time to say it. But after 16 years with UFC, I’ve decided to retire.

This weekend will be my last event, and I’m so absolutely grateful for this unforgettable experience.

Palmer started her career in the WEC. Then, she moved to the UFC and established herself beside the octagon. Palmer’s influence went beyond the ring, as she was featured in a number of publications and promotional campaigns. One of which was a cover for Playboy magazine in 2012. Palmer is renowned for her love of painting and murals, which have drawn attention in addition to her UFC career.

Her desire to dedicate herself full-time to her artistic pursuits is what drove her to decide to retire.
